Flexible Student Academic Schedule

Radiant Life College of Ministry uses a flexible online enrollment model with rolling monthly start dates. Students may begin on the 1st of an available month after completing all enrollment steps and “Commit to Start” documents by the 15th of the current month.

Rolling Monthly Enrollment

Students may apply throughout the year. To start on the 1st of an upcoming month, students must complete admissions review, enrollment steps, tuition arrangements, orientation requirements, and “Commit to Start” documents by the 15th of the current month.

Students may submit an application at any point during the year. Once reviewed, the admissions team helps determine the next available monthly start date.

Commit by the 15th

To begin on the 1st of the next month, students must complete all enrollment steps and “Commit to Start” documents by the 15th of the current month.

Start on the 1st

Approved students begin coursework on the 1st day of their assigned start month. Each course follows a guided 6–8 week learning schedule with a final exam or final assessment window.

Example: A student who wants to start on April 1 should complete all enrollment steps and “Commit to Start” documents by March 15.

How the Course Cycle Works

Each course is designed around a 6–8 week learning period followed by a final exam or final assessment window.

Before Start Month: Enrollment Clearance Student completes application, enrollment documents, tuition arrangements, orientation requirements, and “Commit to Start” documents by the 15th of the current month.
Day 1: Course Access Opens Student begins coursework on the 1st of the assigned month through the student dashboard and/or Google Classroom.
Weeks 1–4: Lessons, Assignments & Quizzes Student completes weekly lessons, readings, discussions, reflections, assignments, quizzes, and participation checkpoints.
Weeks 5–8: Course Completion Work Student completes remaining lessons, major assignments, review activities, course reflections, and instructor/advisor progress checks.
Month 3: Final Exam or Final Assessment Student completes the final exam, final project, or final assessment window. The student then receives completion review and next course planning.

Recommended Academic Pacing

Students progress through courses using a flexible monthly enrollment model. Each program pathway includes recommended pacing guidelines designed to help students remain on track.

Certificate Programs

Certificate students typically complete focused ministry training pathways within approximately 6–9 months depending on pacing and transfer credits.

  • Typical Program Length: 18 Credit Hours
  • Recommended Pace: 1 course every 6–8 weeks
  • Final exam or final assessment completed during the final course window
  • Estimated Completion: 6–9 Months

Associate Degree Programs

Associate degree students are encouraged to maintain steady progress to complete approximately 60 credit hours within 2 years.

  • Typical Program Length: 60 Credit Hours
  • Recommended Pace: 30 Credits Per Year
  • Students should average about 15 credits every 6 months
  • Estimated Completion: Approximately 24 Months

Bachelor’s Degree Programs

Bachelor students follow a long-term academic pathway designed for ministry leadership, theology, biblical studies, and advanced coursework.

  • Typical Program Length: 120 Credit Hours
  • Recommended Pace: 30 Credits Per Year
  • Students should average about 15 credits every 6 months
  • Estimated Completion: Approximately 4 Years

To stay on track, most students should complete each 3-credit course within approximately 6–8 weeks, followed by a final exam, final project, or final assessment window during the final month of the course cycle.

  • Weeks 1–4: Weekly lessons, readings, assignments, reflections, and quizzes
  • Weeks 5–8: Remaining coursework, major assignments, review activities, and progress checks
  • Month 3: Final exam, final project, or final assessment window
  • Associate Degree Goal: 60 credits in approximately 24 months
  • Recommended Associate Pace: About 15 credits every 6 months
  • Bachelor’s Degree Goal: 120 credits in approximately 48 months
  • Recommended Bachelor Pace: About 30 credits per year

Students who need a lighter schedule may take fewer courses at a time, but completion may take longer. Students seeking faster completion should speak with an advisor before increasing their course load.
