Section 5: Reporting Misconduct
All instructional personnel, educational support employees, school administrators, contractors, and volunteers have an affirmative duty to report misconduct that affects the health, safety, or welfare of a student.
Examples of reportable misconduct include:
- Obscene or inappropriate language
- Drug or alcohol use
- Sexual misconduct
- Inappropriate communications with students
- Physical aggression
- Harassment or discrimination
- Bullying or intimidation
- Testing or academic integrity violations
- Accepting or offering improper favors
- Conduct that places a student at risk
Reports shall be made immediately to:

Chief Administrative Officer
WJC Preparatory Academy
If the allegation involves the Chief Administrative Officer, reports should be directed to the governing board, designated Academy representative, or appropriate outside authority.
Section 6: Mandatory Reporting of Abuse
Nothing in this policy limits any employee's legal obligation to report suspected child abuse, abandonment, neglect, criminal conduct, or threats to student safety to the appropriate authorities as required by law.
Any person who suspects that a student has been abused, abandoned, neglected, harmed, or is in immediate danger should contact the appropriate authorities immediately.
Emergency Notice:
If a student is in immediate danger, call 911 immediately before submitting this form.
